The AGKN travelling conference to Vietnam and Laos took place from September 15 to September 29, 2023. Prof. Dr. Hans-Dietrich Haasis (University of Bremen) and Prof. Dr. Dirk Sackmann (Merseburg University of Applied Sciences) visited eight universities over the course of nine working days. In Laos, they were accompanied by Prof. Dr. Boonsub Panichakarn from Naresuan Universityin Phitsanulok, Thailand.

The central themes of the trip were “Innovation Management in Logistics” and “Food Logistics Management”, with both professors delivering lectures on these topics. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to expand and further strengthen relationships with the participating universities. Three more universities expressed interest in joining the AGKN network, demonstrating the growing appeal of international academic collaboration in logistics and supply chain management.

Discussions during the meetings also focused on student and faculty exchange opportunities and the joint supervision of doctoral candidates. There was significant interest in establishing partnerships not only with Bremen and Merseburg, but also with other universities within the AGKN network.
