On August 23, 2022, management board members of AGKN, together with the Thai AGKN member, met with representatives of the Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA) in Hanoi. The meeting was hosted by the Banking Academy of Vietnam, a very VALOMA’s active institutional members.

The key topics of discussion included, but were not limited to, collaboration between AGKN and VALOMA in the areas of training and the organization of international networking events. Both organizations expressed interest in signing a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a long-term foundation for mutual cooperation.

VALOMA was established with the support of the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2021. Its primary goal is to support Vietnamese citizens and businesses in the areas of education and workforce development in logistics and supply chain management.

AGKN extends its sincere thanks to Mr. Khanh (VALOMA’s General Secretary) and Ms. Van Ha (Head of the External Affairs Department) for their warm welcome and for sharing a wealth of ideas for future collaboration. Special appreciation also goes to Ms. Azure for her smooth coordination of the meeting.

Later the same day, AGKN management board members, Prof. Dirk Sackmann and Prof. Irina Dovbischuk, met with Dr. Xuan Thieu Mai, President of VALOMA, at Ba Ria – Vung Tau University, as well as with Prof. Ho Thi Thu Hoa, Vice-President of VALOMA, at the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI).
