On August 23rd 2022, management board members of AGKN together with Thai AGKN-member met representatives of the Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA) in Hanoi. The meeting was hosted by the Banking Academy of Vietnam, a very active VALOMA’s member.

The main topics included but were not limited to collaboration of AGKN and VALOMA in training and organizing of international networking events. Both organizations are interested to sign a memorandum of understanding to give a long-term base for mutual actions.

VALOMA was established with the support of the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2021. Its main goal is to support Vietnamese citizens and Vietnamese businesses in education, manpower development in logistics and supply chain management.

AGKN thanks to Mr. Khanh (VALOMA’s General Secretary) and Ms. Van Ha (Head of External Affairs Dept.) for the warm welcome and a plenty of ideas how to collaborate in the future. The meeting was smoothly coordinated by Ms. Azure.

Later on, management board members, Prof. Dirk Sackmann and Prof. Irina Dovbischuk, met the president of VALOMA, Dr. Xuan Thieu Mai, at the Baria Vungtau University and the vice-president, Prof. Ho Thi Thu Hoa, at the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Instute (VLI).
